Right from the start, we feel blessed. We have wonderful family, wonderful children, wonderful friends, wonderful community, wonderful church, and each other. This journey is already bursting at the seems with blessings.
One of those blessings was the drive over here. From Tolleson to San Diego, we encounter NO traffic. The whole way, it felt like we were following this big cloud that kept us in the shade. When we woke up this morning, we made haste to the border and—thanks to Google earth—made our way to the clinic as if we’d been several times before. (I spent hours flying over the route in Google earth, checking out the landmarks, and experiencing the street view).
We arrived at the clinic and were greeted by the patient director who is very friendly and nice. After breakfast, he gave us a quick tour, told us what to expect, and then we got started. First a chat with the doctor, then a quick physical for Lariate and an EKG, then juice, then another juice, then lunch, then juice, then another….well, more on this later. For now, we are enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather and relaxing.
We’ve got a lot to learn and we’ll fill you all in shortly. Thank you for your prayers.
Grace, Dhondi.
